For first time homeowners, it might be rather hard to pick the type of grill station. The grill station has become a permanent home fixture in almost everyone's backyard so it can be considered as a must have. A day of barbecue is one of the best ways to gather friends and family you haven't seen for a long time. It is also another way to show off your grilling skills. Grilled meals are to die for. So if you are planning to build a grill station at your backyard here are some of the most common types. 1. Electric Grill. By the term itself it is fairly obvious that this type of grill runs through the use of electricity. It uses electrical elements that heats and cooks the food. It also has a specialized pan that catches the oil and other juices that comes out of the food while you are grilling it. With an electrical grill you will be able to control the temperature by turning the knobs attached to it. In order for your electric grill to work, you will need to have an electrical outlet installed in your grill station. Electrical grills are less messy as compared to other forms of grills but it would be harder for you to move this grill around. Once you install it, you will have to deal with the fact that you cannot simply transfer it from one place to another. 2. Charcoal Grill. This is the more traditional type of grill. Most people have been using this type for years. In a charcoal grill you don't need electricity in order for it to work; all you need is charcoal, gas and of course, a lighter. To get started, you will have to pile charcoal and then ignite it. Allow enough time for the charcoal to turn bright red and when it does, you can start grilling. Foods cooked using this type of grill has a more natural flavor and heat is being regulated through the number of charcoal you add unto the grill. The downside of this type is that it may take quite some time for it to be ready and it can be a little messy too. Lastly, the cleaning part for this type of grill isn't as easy as those of the other types. 3. Gas Grill. This is another type of grill. Judging by the term itself you can tell that this type of grill uses gas. The gas used can either be propane or natural. If you want to be practical you can always opt to use propane gas because you can always have it refilled after you have consumed it. Using natural gas for this type of grill may limit the grill's portability because it has to be attached to a valve where the flow of natural gas can be turned on and off. The propane gas comes in a tank so you can transfer it from one place to another. The gas grill is easy to clean too and less messy to use. Each type has its own pros and cons so before you buy anything you must think about it first. Go for the type you are comfortable with so that you will be able to enjoy your grilling sessions. |
